Project Manager, Crop Science, a Division of Bayer
As project manager of Bayer’s North American Bee Health since February 2013, Becky ensures the success of the North American Bee Project Team and directs and manages bee care strategy and activities.
“People tend to have the misconception that there is one factor impacting bee health, but there are a myriad of negative stressors and so it takes folks across the continuum to do their part to improve bee health,” Becky said. “At Bayer, we foster collaboration and communication across all groups – growers, beekeepers, gardeners. The Feed a Bee
campaign has been a great example of people coming together to increase bee habitat nationally.”
Becky joined Crop Science, a division of Bayer in 2010 as North American biosafety site manager. Previously, she was the biosafety manager and director of high containment at Baylor College of Medicine, where she also held a faculty appointment in the department of molecular virology and microbiology.
A native of Klamath Falls, Ore., Becky received a doctorate in pathobiology and a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from the University of Arizona.
