Bees play a vital role to agriculture, gardens and our food supply.
Think about the last time you enjoyed your morning cup of coffee or an afternoon snack of chips and guacamole. Now imagine those moments without coffee beans or avocados that are dependent on pollinators. About one-third of the human food supply depends on insect pollination. Honey bees are responsible for pollinating many of the important fruits, nuts and vegetables necessary for a healthy diet, and are an important contributor to the rich diversity of flowering plants we enjoy around our homes and gardens.
Healthy bees are necessary, not only as pollinators for sustainable food production, but also for the unique role they play in many ecosystems around the world.
